Prepare the Next Generation with Confidence.
Helping families communicate, prepare, and plan together while you are still here to guide the process. So wealth creates opportunity and strengthens bonds rather than creating confusion or conflict.
Why This Work Matters
Research consistently shows that wealth does not preserve itself. It erodes, not because of poor investment decisions, but because the communication, preparation, and planning needed to sustain it was never built. Children who inherit wealth without preparation are not set up to steward it well. Families that never talk openly about money leave behind confusion and missed opportunity.
Generational Support is dedicated to changing that pattern, before an event forces the conversation.
How We Work With Families
FAMILY MEETINGS: THE MOST VALUABLE CONVERSATION YOU CAN HAVE.
PLANNING WITHOUT PREMATURE DISCLOSURE.
WORKING WITH YOUR FAMILY AS CLIENTS IN THEIR OWN RIGHT.
A Practical Example
College funding: when good intentions create complexity.
One family came to us after realizing that a grandparent and a parent had each been independently funding 529 accounts for the same grandchild, with no awareness of what the other had contributed. Together they had accumulated significantly more than the child’s projected education costs.
We brought both parties together, mapped the full picture, and restructured the accounts and future contributions to address the surplus while protecting the tax treatment of funds already contributed. The grandchild ended up with a well-designed education plan. The grandparent had clarity on how their generosity fit the larger picture. And both parties understood the outcome while private financial details remained appropriately between them.

FAQs
Q: How do you facilitate family conversations about money?
A: We structure them carefully: starting with the parents to understand their values and goals, then meeting with children individually, and eventually bringing the family together. We set the agenda and guide the conversation with clear boundaries around what is shared.
Q: What is a no-numbers financial plan?
A: A summary of the family’s financial and estate structure, designed for the heirs, without specific dollar figures. It gives heirs context, reduces anxiety about the unknown, and builds readiness over time.to first draft, depending on complexity.
Q: How do you handle privacy when working with multiple family members?
A: Each party controls what financial information is shared with others. We share only what is needed for the planning work, and only with explicit permission. Coordination across the family does not require full disclosure in every direction.
Q: Do you work with adult children directly?
A: Yes. We provide investment management and financial planning for adult children and grandchildren, structured alongside the broader family plan.
Q: When should families start these conversations?
A: Earlier than feels comfortable. The best time is when parents are healthy and children are young adults. Waiting until an estate event is too late to build real understanding.
Q: Where are your clients located?
A: We serve clients in Austin, across Texas, and nationally.
